- Put what you’ve learned into practice by physically going into the cockpit (engine off). Assign the appropriate number to each component in the cockpit.
- Describe the protocol in case a component fails. a. Use a flying simulator to demonstrate.
- Assignments: a. Find the optimal reaction tactics by researching protocols for particular component failures.
(Scale: Assessment)
- (Exam) Show how to use every cockpit instrument (engine running). a. Make your demonstration in the daytime when the weather is favorable. i. When the weather is bad, demonstrate throughout the day. b. Demonstrate during the night in ideal weather circumstances. i. Perform a demonstration in bad weather at night.
- (Exam) Explain the procedure in case a component fails. a. Take all essential safety measures and, if needed, fix the problem. b. Ascertain whether an emergency landing of the aircraft is necessary. c. Describe how to interact with passengers in an emergency.
